Personal Note From Jay Paul Roy

My senior year in High School I surrendered to God’s call on my life. I knew I was to commit my life fully to the ministry. I have been raised not only to be a Christian, but to love the Lord with all my heart, mind, and strength and have seen this as a living reality in my parents life. Buddy and Margy Roy, my parents, demonstrated the love and the power of Jesus Christ in their daily lives. I never spent one day of my life not knowing or believing that God was real. I remember vividly falling off my bike (before I learned to use the brakes) at the age of six, and rolling up underneath a bush next door to my house. I looked up through the branches of this bush into the sky above me and had a conversation with Jesus. He was probably more real to me then than ever, as I asked Him to come into my heart and forgive me of my sins and be the Lord of my life. Since then, I have required no re-salvations or baptisms. I was saved as a six year old child and knew the voice of God from that time on. I so strongly identify with Josiah in this aspect. Although I was raised by Christian parents, unlike Josiah, I knew that I was somehow separate from my parents through my relationship with Christ. He was my father, my savior, and He has become so much more through the years. I have a passion to see Him new and fresh each day and allow Him to work through my life to accomplish His purposes. He has done many things in my life to bring me to humility in Him, and to truly, give up everything I have to see His Kingdom come to pass. I have not always walked down the path He set for me, and I have failed Him countess times, but His grip on me has sustained my life.

I am passionately partnered with my beautiful and gifted wife, Kari, and have two amazing sons, Judson Samuel and Straton Paul. I am blown away each day at how blessed I am as a man. There is so much I could say, and so many things I would like to accomplish for Jesus, but everything I've ever done, right or wrong, good or bad, I count it all loss in order to press forward into what God has for me. Therefore, it is my utmost desire to see each person I have the blessing to minister to, to truly know Jesus, and to have a loving relationship with Him. I would hope that they could put aside all of their mental struggling and reasoning aside and allow God to come into their spirits and reveal Himself in power and in love. I know then that they will truly be changed. Not because they knew Jay Paul Roy, but because they opened the door to their souls and allowed their creator to come in and dine with them.

I have a passion for young people and children because they are the “white” of the harvest. Like Josiah, they can begin to live for God, because their young hearts have not been hardened. As I have stated in the Josiah’s Cry statement, the enemy has set out to destroy these young hearts and in this time love is growing cold amongst this generation. We must press in and claim these lives for Jesus. It is time to proclaim destiny and purpose to this younger generation and reveal to them their true identities in Christ. Just as Josiah tore his clothes when He read about Himself in the prophetic words of the past and vehemently claimed his nation for God. There is a revolution that will rise up amongst these left unscathed by the enemy, and our nation will be lead by this Josiah Generation. “Josiah’s Cry: A Purging of a Nation”

Sincerely, In His Service,
Jay Paul Roy
